Our movement isn’t about red or blue, left or right. It’s about one simple, powerful idea: Putting Texans First, and Politics Last.
Priorities
This isn’t just a campaign. It’s a movement. A movement to take Texas back for the people. To make our government work for us again.
-
What is the Issue?
Texans don’t have the power to directly propose or vote on laws through citizen-led ballot initiatives like in other states. This lack of direct democracy keeps you from having a real say in the issues that matter most to you, leaving decisions entirely in the hands of career politicians.
Why Does This Impact You?
Without citizen-led ballot initiatives, your voice is muted on critical issues like education, reproductive rights, and property taxes. Instead of being able to act when the legislature fails to deliver, you’re forced to accept the status quo—even when it’s not working for your community.
How Are We Going to Fix It?
By empowering Texans with the ability to propose and vote on laws directly through citizen-led ballot initiatives, we’ll ensure your voice shapes the future of our state. I’ll fight to pass legislation that allows Texans to bring their ideas directly to the ballot box, cutting through the red tape and giving power back to the people where it belongs.
Let’s make Texas a state where your vote doesn’t just count—it leads.

What is the Issue?
Every ten years, politicians in Texas redraw our voting districts. But instead of creating fair maps, they gerrymander districts to keep themselves in power—choosing their voters instead of the other way around. This practice silences communities, skews representation, and ensures the two-party system stays firmly in control.
Why Does This Impact You?
When politicians manipulate district lines, your vote loses its power. Communities with shared interests are split apart, making it harder to address local needs. Gerrymandering creates “safe” districts where politicians are unaccountable and focus more on party loyalty than representing you.
How Are We Going to Fix It?
The solution is simple: take the power to draw districts out of the hands of politicians and give it to an independent redistricting commission. This nonpartisan body will ensure districts are fair, representative, and drawn based on data—not political agendas. I’ll work to implement this reform to restore trust in our elections and give every Texan an equal voice.
It’s time to put people over politics and fairness back into our democracy.

What is the Issue?
Big money dominates Texas politics. Wealthy donors and special interests pour millions into campaigns, drowning out the voices of everyday Texans. This pay-to-play system allows money to influence policy, leaving regular voters on the sidelines.
Why Does This Impact You?
When politicians rely on big donors, their priorities shift to the highest bidder instead of the people they’re elected to serve. Issues like affordable healthcare, public education, and property taxes take a backseat to the interests of lobbyists and corporations. Your vote should matter more than a checkbook—but right now, it doesn’t.
How Are We Going to Fix It?
I’ll fight for real campaign finance reform in Texas by pushing for stricter donor transparency laws, limiting the influence of super PACs, and capping campaign contributions. We’ll create a political system where candidates are accountable to voters, not their biggest donors. Together, we can ensure every Texan’s voice is heard—regardless of how much money they have.
Let’s take Texas back from big money and put it where it belongs: in the hands of the people.

What is the Issue?
Texas elections are dominated by the two-party system, often forcing voters to choose the “lesser of two evils” instead of the candidate they truly believe in. This winner-takes-all approach silences diverse voices and discourages independent and third-party candidates from running.
Why Does This Impact You?
Under the current system, your vote can feel wasted if your preferred candidate doesn’t stand a chance. Ranked choice voting gives you more power by letting you rank candidates in order of preference. This ensures your vote still counts if your top choice doesn’t win, leading to fairer and more representative outcomes.
How Are We Going to Fix It?
By implementing ranked choice voting in Texas, we can break the stranglehold of the two-party system and create elections that truly reflect the will of the people. I’ll fight to pass legislation that empowers Texans to rank their choices, reducing negative campaigning, encouraging coalition-building, and ensuring candidates must appeal to a broader audience to win.
It’s time to make elections about what’s best for Texans—not just the two parties.

For decades, Texas politicians have sold out to corporate donors. We're going to prove a better way.
Five For Our Future is a movement of everyday Texans chipping in just $5 a month to show that we don’t have to sell out to win.
This movement is 100% people-powered.
